Dear Friends,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the new 2-1-1 Broward website. Over the past several months we have been working hard to prepare the organization to expand its reach and increase its exposure to the entire community. We look forward to the day when every citizen in Broward County is aware of 2-1-1 and uses this valuable resource to help them through individual or family situations when they arise.

Times have gotten tougher for more and more of our residents. Call volume has reached record levels and still continues to increase. Many callers are reaching out for help for the first time in their lives. They are families who have fallen into poverty due to job loss. They have lost their homes and they have lost hope. The bright spot is that 2-1-1 Counselors are connecting them with services that are helping them to regain their lives.

2-1-1 Broward is committed to be there for every resident. One day you might be in need yourself or you might want to help a friend who is depressed or possibly suicidal. You might have a child who is struggling with bullying or have a neighbor whose child was born with special needs. You may be worried about the well being of a parent who is fragile and living alone. When you do, please feel comfort in knowing there is a place to go 24 hours a day, every day, for help, direction and resources.
