Gregory A. Haile

Dear Friends,
We are in the midst of extraordinarily difficult economic times, and consequently, many Broward County residents have had to seek support and guidance from various social service providers. Knowing where to find that support and guidance is critical. Fortunately, since 1995, Broward County residents have been able to find that support and guidance through 2-1-1 Broward, a confidential, centralized, 24 hour a day, 7 day a week information and referral service. Simply put, if you need help, call 2-1-1 Broward, and we will help you identify your needs, and direct you to the provider that can best serve you.
Unlike 411 and 911, however 211 Broward must secure the financial resources from foundations, local governments, corporations and individuals in order to provide this vital community-wide service. We need your support and there are so many ways to help. You can join CLUB 2-1-1 by pledging an annual donation of $211. You can become a Corporate Partner at various levels of support or provide specific support for one of the specialty helplines.
In 2009, 2-1-1 Broward received over 130,000 calls for help, a 34% increase over the prior year. Since its inception in 1995, 2-1-1 Broward has received nearly 2 million calls for help. The staff and board of 2-1-1 recognize that people must be empowered to make positive changes in their lives. And information is power. 2-1-1 will continue to provide all Broward County residents with the information and resources they need to ensure their safety and overall well-being.Take time to learn more about 2-1-1, and the support, information and referral services available to you, your family and your friends. Explore the website, call to schedule a tour, or call the administrative office to provide you with information. Then help us to spread the word.
Sincerely,
Gregory A. Haile
2-1-1 Broward Board Chair
