Youth Services at 211

2-1-1 is a confidential, easy to remember number for youth to call to receive information, crisis intervention and non judgmental listening services to help them sort through the issues of adolescence and young adulthood. Specially trained counselors at 2-1-1 will listen to the concerns of each caller and provide them with support and information about the most appropriate community resource to best meet the unique needs of each child, youth, or teen.

2-1-1 Teen Hotline provides free, confidential, non-judgmental help with school issues, parents, foster families, self- esteem, relationship problems, sexuality, health concerns or any other teen related issue. Call 2-1-1 or 954-567-TEEN (8336)

2-1-1 Teen Tapes includes over 79 informational taped audio messages on topics of concern to teens including relationships, school, careers, drugs and alcohol, pregnancy, HIV/AIDS, sexuality, dealing with siblings, parents, friends, and more. Call 2-1-1 or 954-390-0490

2-1-1 INFOline provides free confidential information and referrals to child and adolescent mental health services, substance abuse prevention and treatment programs, case management and specialized behavioral health services. Call 2-1-1 or 954-396-INFO (4636). 2-1-1 knows how challenging it can be for families with children with mental health, substance abuse, and behavioral problems. 2-1-1 is here to listen and support you through the process, and assist with finding the right service for your child and family.

Teen Space 211 Website 2-1-1 is striving to meet the needs of today’s teens by making sure our services reflect the current trends and issues teens are facing by utilizing today’s technology to reach as many youth as possible who may need us.

Teen Space 2-1-1 website will:

    • Serve as a confidential site where teens, family members, and professionals can go to access information on teen related issues.
    • Inform users of teen related community events.
    • Connect teens with other teens in order to share their struggles, stories, and triumphs.
    • Spotlight agencies and programs in the community that are making a difference in the lives of teens in Broward County.
    • Provide anonymous, confidential message boards for teens, parents, and professionals where they can post issues and comments and have a counselor respond back with support and resources.
    • Be linked to a Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter page so teens can text or post questions or comments, and 2-1-1 can share information back to the user.
